For the first I would like to give brief information about Indramayu, Indramayu is a small town in west java Indonesia, it is a beach area because the location is near with the sea that around of that town, Indramayu more popular with name Kota Mangga (mango city) the city that produce a lot of mango with the best quality. At the before Indramayu was built by Bagelen people from central java Rd. Arya Wiralodra (Javanese language). So, Basa Indramayu acquisition still predicated as dialect not language, but on my blog I will try show other side of Basa Indramayu…
Language focus:
Generally there are three kind of Basa Indramayu (based on politeness)
a. Krama Inggil (ordinary people to the most honorable one)
b. Krama (Medium; children to their parent or slave to his master)
c. Bagongan/ngokoh (commonly use in Indramayu society)
Let we begin with simple greating….
Wilujeng enjing = good morning
Pripun kabare= how are you?
Wilujeng wengi= good evening
Wilujeng tepang= welcome
Above is an example for general greeting in the first meeting with wong Dermayu (mentioned for people who live in Indramayu)
